ABOUT WHERESVILLE RADIO

Hi, my name is Mark, I contacted Brian, President of Charlotte Indie Radio in 2007 about playing some music from my new CD (at the time) Chaos in the Landing Zones. Brian was gracious enough to agree and suggested I submit my past releases as well. When he heard I had a studio he asked me to consider putting together some "independent/ in house" produced shows for the station to help give CIR a wider range of content.

I immediately thought of all the musicians and bands I had worked with through the years and it seemed like a no brainer. I am trying to step up the frequency of the shows. If you are an artist or band from North or South Carolina and own the copyrights to you music, shoot me an email with a site where I can hear your music. Go to the Submission Policy page and read the details to make sure you qualify. I am also looking to expand into some "BEHIND THE SCENES/IN THE STUDIO" Interviews so keep an eye out for that as well. I appreciate all the positive feedback I have been getting for this.

CHARLOTTE INDIE RADIO

 is an Internet radio station that plays Charlotte area original music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The station is run by musicians for musicians. The goals of the station are:

  • To provide a way for local musicians to get their original music heard.
  • To enable Charlotte music lovers to listen to local music from their computer at any time of day or night.
  • To provide a place where music industry professionals can stay up-to-date on the Charlotte music scene.
  • To create new opportunities for Charlotte area musicians to connect directly with the local music scene.

Local musicians in all genres are encouraged to submit their original music for airplay. The station will feature Charlotte area music but will also play music from throughout North and South Carolina.
